Do not use the link or telephone number inside a suspicious message. Open your bank's official app or call an independently obtained number; the Central Bank warns about misuse of its identity and communications.
Do not send passwords, card PINs or one-time codes to callers, or approve unfamiliar authentication requests. Urgency, unexpected money and fees supposedly needed to release funds are reasons to stop and verify.
If money or credentials have been shared, immediately notify the bank and request protection of compromised access or payment instruments. Preserve messages, receipts and transaction references, and report the incident to the police.
A practical next step
End the suspicious contact, reach your bank through an official channel, and file a police report with the available evidence.
