A Red Notice seeks cooperation to locate a person and provisionally arrest them pending extradition or similar action. INTERPOL does not describe it as an international arrest warrant. Each country applies its own law, and INTERPOL itself does not arrest people.
An unofficial screenshot or intermediary’s assertion is not enough to establish a person’s status. Collect the case number, issuing authority, identity details and judicial records. Absence from the public notice list alone does not prove that no INTERPOL data or request exists.
The Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s Files provides access, correction and deletion procedures through its dedicated request portal. Distinguish that process from extradition proceedings in the relevant country. Submitting a request does not itself guarantee safe travel or automatically stop local action.
A practical next step
Before making travel decisions, assemble the actual records for separate assessment of INTERPOL information and the destination country’s legal consequences.
